Our value-driven work at Telia Estonia was evident when our CEO, Holger Haljand, introduced the Customer Value Management (CVM) change last year. Basically, it means that we shifted from product-based business streams to customer value-based teams.
”We dare to reinvent the way we think about the customer. We will carry out the change caring for every employee who will be affected. And we will not apply any decisions that will add complexity to our organization,” said Holger Haljand.
Here are 5 examples of work culture initiatives in Estonia:
1. People recognition gala
Recognizing colleagues is crucial to our success. Our people recognition gala celebrates outstanding achievements and projects quarterly, based on our values.
2. Leadership programs
Good leadership is the foundation of our culture. Our refreshed Leadership Framework and development programs, SPARK and IGNITE, help leaders excel. This autumn, leaders were trained by ex-military combat leaders to enhance teamwork and trust.
3. Wellbeing program
The #MINUHEAOLU (”My wellbeing”) program supports mental and physical health, offering free psychologist counseling, self-development coaching, and sports activities.
4. Community program
Monthly, employees participate in the #KOOSONLAHE (”It’s great to be together”) program, covering themes like environment and cyber security. In September, 60 colleagues planted nearly 8,000 trees in the Estonian countryside.
5. Telia Employee Summer Gala
Our annual Telia Employee Summer Gala brings everyone together with performances, dance, and food, celebrating the working season and strengthening our culture.
